Job Purpose Responsible for managing quality inspection staff and overseeing all product quality inspection activities including on line, end of line and off line. Responsible for overseeing quality systems in the plant, including non-conforming material, corrective actions, and calibration.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee all product quality inspections and conformance to Stoughton Quality Manual
- Supervisor Quality Monitors and Quality Support Monitors
- Maintain end of line control plan to reflect criteria for new components, customer needs, and other new or revised requirements.
- Participate in all first unit audits and report to Manufacturing, Quality Management and Sales. Identify all corrective actions required and insure implementation.
- Ensure that road safety program, including audits are effectively implemented
- Ensure all documentation properly completed and saved in the system
- Ensure manufacturing following proper disposition of non-conforming parts using the DM tag and MRB process
- Work with MRB Process Manager and Purchasing to determine disposition for any discrepant material from suppliers
- Work with Quality Manager to develop and implement control plans for assembly
- Work with Production Supervisors to support and continuously improve the layered process audits.
- Ensure that calibrations are completed per the schedule for any key measurement equipment.
- Work and communicate in a team environment.
- Other duties may be assigned as required by the Plant Quality Manager
- Perform all assigned tasks in a safe, efficient, timely, and accurate and highly productive manner according to company policy.
- Contribute to the team effort to produce a quality product.
- Attend scheduled work hours on a regular and timely basis. Maintain good attendance.

Qualifications
- Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge of trailer building.
- Experience with non-conforming systems (DM tagging, MRB process)
- Skilled in basic metrology/measurement skills
- Ability to problem-solve and implement appropriate corrective actions
- Highly accomplished in blueprint reading
- Excellent working relationships with Supervisors and Managers.
- Experience training others.
- Display proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Proficient in Syteline ERP system
- Comfortable dealing with conflict
- Team building and employee management experience
