Our Digital Modernization Sector need results-oriented Senior Strategic Planner to support the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3) Enterprise Center’s (NEC) Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) Division at Fort Meade, MD.

We invite you to become a member of a truly dynamic and innovative team of technical experts within our Systems Engineering and Integration division. The SE&I Division is the front-runner for enterprise-level systems engineering and architecture, and as the technical authority for the Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications within the Department of Defense. Our customer, directed by the Commander, U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), applies subject matter expertise and best practices to translate mission and operational requirements into solutions and operational capabilities.
What will you do in this role?
Work with the customer to understand Division and Branch mission and goals, and collaborate with Project Managers to execute plans that achieve those organizational goals.
Assist the customer with the alignment of processes and resources in order to most effectively accomplish planned and ad-hoc tasks.
Work with our customer and other key stakeholder to support the development and sustainment of an engineering campaign plan that captures, in time block increments, programs, initiatives, and investments supporting the modernization of the NC3 Enterprise. The work includes developing implementation plans, timelines, de-conflicting work, identifying dependencies, and developing integrated planning documents and briefings.
Work with NEC Branch Chiefs to incorporate opportunities and new technological capabilities into the NC3 Enterprise architecture. This includes supporting the publication of guidance, directives and policy, such as completed mission engineering studies (to include artifacts) or developed interface specifications.
Support the assessment of new technologies and innovations, and develop technical recommendations that support evolving NC3 Enterprise requirements.
Write clearly, brief effectively, and communicate professionally to deliver the support our customers require.
Basic Qualifications
Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Science, or education equivalent with 8-12 years of experience or Master’s with 6-10 years of experience.
You must also have 5 or more years of specific experience in the following:
o Analyzing programs to determine requirements. o Tracking program process and control. o Developing and presenting reports on analysis findings. o Drafting program documentation to support activities to higher‐level management. o Creating, reviewing, and tracking performance metrics.
Ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create and deliver presentations.
Competency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams).
Preferred Qualifications
Expertise in the areas of DOD acquisition/requirements processes, systems analysis, engineering, and/or Nuclear Command, Control and Communications (NC3).
NC3, National Leadership Command Capability (NLCC) or Senior Leader Command, Control and Communications System (SLC3S) knowledge or direct experience.
Experience working with Nuclear C3 community stakeholders such as Air Force, Navy, NC3 Enterprise Center (NEC), USSTRATCOM, USCYBERCOM, the Joint Staff, and OSD.

Pay Range:Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
