What you will do
We are currently recruiting for an Offshore Fire Safety Service Technician for our Fire Safety business within our Aberdeen branch. The role will be part of Johnson Controls Global Offshore & Marine department and will join our team of highly experienced service technicians who carry out the service and maintenance of fire protection and safety equipment on both Offshore fixed platforms and mobile assets.
How you will do it
Inspection, service, and maintenance of; portable fire extinguishers, fire hoses & hydrants, foam making equipment including foam sample testing, fixed gaseous fire systems, water-foam based fire systems, wet chemical fire systems, fire system cylinders, breathing apparatus, breathing air compressors. You will also carry out safety equipment inspection and inventory, be customer facing and plan work scopes and work with service teams.

Experience in a similar role.
Experience of fire protection equipment and suppression systems as listed above.
Competent in the inspection and service of all above listed equipment.
Good communication skills
Good numeracy skills
Self-motivated with good IT skills
Ability to work both independently and as a team player to the highest standard.
Customer focused.
Knowledge of fire and safety legislation.
Candidates must have a keen interest in the Marine and Offshore fire safety industry.

Offshore survival certification (BOSIET)
