As a Sales Engineer on "The Edge" team, you will use your past tech or product experience to educate and consult with prospective clients, clients, sales teams, and internal and external partners to show them the cutting "edge" of innovation and its impact. This specialized team grew out of an incredible people incubation project combining high tech, presentation skills, and creative minds to serve ADP's clients and partners. "Always Designing for People," ADP has built amazing innovation labs, award-winning tech in AI, Data, and more, and has driven innovation around how employers attract, develop, and retain their people. In this role, you could be the Sales Engineer who assists with enterprise deal support and gains the Information Technology (IT) community's commitment to ADP solutions.
Daily, you'll participate in both internal and client-facing activities associated with closing new opportunities, saving existing relationships, and offering additional business to existing client accounts. You will use your experience to emphasize the importance of tech perspectives in the buying process and activate tech buyers.

WHAT YOU'LL DO: Responsibilities
What you can expect on a typical day:
Support the Sales Process. You will engage in sales opportunities and provide support as needed related to inquiries about various technical capabilities throughout the sales lifecycle. You will provide follow-up as required.
Present. You will deliver both external and internal Technical & System Overview presentations. You may have an opportunity to speak on behalf of ADP publicly or attend external events as desired. You are comfortable and skilled at sharing ideas and presenting to C-level executives.
Have a Consistent Pulse on the Market. You stay abreast of new products internally and with what is happening outside in the market. You can leverage information quickly and develop new product opportunities as applicable. You maintain awareness of disruptions in the industry and remain vigilant for cyber security breaches and other trending events that impact sales. You will use your knowledge to articulate ADP's security and risk mitigation approach.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Required Qualifications
- The most successful candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of technical experience with a background in sales, product, or client-facing service experience.
- A college degree is great but not required. What's more important is having the skills to do the job.
- 20% Travel is required, with 80% homeshored supporting multiple U.S. time zones (when needed).
- You should have skills in data access and system architecture and technical depth across various tools and platforms. As examples:
- Databases (Oracle, SQL)
- Server technologies (Linux, Windows)
- Data security (encryption, key management, multi-factor authentication, etc.)
- Cloud (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure)
- APIs and Web Services
- Application Service Offerings
- ITIL, ISO, and NIST Standards
- Privacy Regulations - GDPR and Binding Corporate Rules, US State Privacy Laws, etc.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity or commissions. The compensation for this role is $70,100.00 - $142,200.00 / Year
