Pay ranging from $25 - $45/hour, based on experience, plus bonus potential and time and a half pay for evening work. Profit sharing is paid out quarterly.

Responsibilities for the Fire Alarm Technician:
- Inspect, service, and install commercial fire alarm systems.
- Test devices including smoke detectors, pull stations, heat detectors, horn/strobes, and other necessary components.
- Verify proper functionality of fire alarm systems, testing signals in the monitoring station, load testing batteries, and adjusting sensitivity of smoke detectors.
- Replace defective components as needed.
- Communicate with customers professionally regarding system status and any identified deficiencies.
- Accurately complete all sections of the Service Trade software.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements for the Fire Alarm Technician:
- NICET Level 2 and Michigan Fire Alarm Specialty Tech License highly preferred.
- City of Detroit fitness card preferred.
- Two or more years of experience with troubleshooting, inspecting, and performing installations of fire alarms.
- Strong knowledge of inspections and NFPA 72 requirements.
- Personal Tools required to have: VOM meter with good leads, Pliers, Screwdrivers, Wire Strippers, and Channel Locks
- Detail-oriented.
- Must be available for on-call duties and have the ability to travel, potentially requiring overnight stays.
- Maintain a good driving record.
- Independent work capability.
- Effective teamwork skills for large inspection projects.
- Capacity to climb ladders and stand for extended periods and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
