FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
Shift: Weekend
Pay: $27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experienceSummary:Maintains, tests, repairs, and modifies heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, and related temperature controls and equipment.Responsibilities:Provides maintenance support to air handling units, exhaust systems, VAVs, BAS, and chilled water systems. Maintains specified pressures, temperatures, and humidity. Inspects equipment for malfunctions. Makes adjustments and/or repairs. Recommends modifications, replacements, repairs, and necessary procedures. Performs routine preventative maintenance according to established schedules. Maintains preventive maintenance records and equipment repair files in order to comply with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements. Assists in construction, remodeling, and maintenance projects. Provides information on critical mechanical and electrical equipment and systems. Conducts and supervises airflow and balancing tests required for accreditation reports and for the infection control program.Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
Requirements:
- Credentials:Essential:* HVAC Mechanic
- Other information:Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED. Preferred: Trade specific education. Required Licensure/Certification: Completion of an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved HVAC technician certification program. Additional certification as required by local municipality as determined at position level. Relevant licensure/certification as determined at position level.Minimum Experience: 3 years of related experience. 1 year of direct experience.
- IF APPLICABLE: BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
