JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Inventory Clerk position performs a variety of physical and mental tasks to support the mission of the Material Management department within Porter Medical Center. This position requires flexibility to complete daily/weekly/monthly tasks while providing excellent customer service to a variety of departments and employees. Very physical position requires a great deal of walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
Responsible for issuing supplies, maintaining inventory, receiving goods, inspection and delivery of incoming materials, supplies, and equipment to various departments in an accurate and timely manner.
Requires daily usage of computer inventory tracking system and use of handheld computer device.
EXPERIENCE
Previous stockroom or material management experience preferred in either a distribution or retail environment. Requires professional communication and proficient math skills.
EDUCATION:
High school graduate or equivalent required. Valid Vermont driver’s license with clean driving record.
