What we need
We are looking for an experienced Product Lifecycle management (PLM) and Document Control champion to work within the Engineering Services Organization in support of new product introduction and engineering change control. As the Document Control Specialist, you will work primarily in the Teamcenter PLM system. You will review and validate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and processes workflows. You will develop a global understanding of the document control lifecycle at Symbotic including upstream and downstream impacts and provide front line user support to employees.
What we do
The Engineering Services team is part of the Hardware Org which is responsible for Mechanical, Structural, and Electrical Engineering of the Symbot and the Structure, System Layout, and Electrical Distribution Systems.
What you’ll do
Input, maintain, and manage the document control system through all lifecycle phases.
Route and track Engineering Changes (ECRs/ECNs for approval globally, executing Admin Change Orders (ACOs) when appropriate.
Administer PLM system, including:
Managing supplier access to Symbotic’s PLM system.
Assisting with data migration and release.
Creating and remove user accounts.
Creating processes and workflows within PLM.
Maintaining accuracy of product data in PLM.
Maintain the integration between the Teamcenter and CAD systems
Develop policies and procedures for document control system in support of Engineering Change Management processes.
Provide PLM system training to employees.
Provide user support to employees in areas of PLM, Teamcenter and SAP (ERP) and other CAD Integration.
Coordinate material disposition for completed ECOs.
Manage and run cross-functional Change Review Board (CRB) meetings.
Responsible for examining documents such as blueprints, drawings, change orders, and specifications to verify completeness and accuracy of data.
What you’ll need
2+ years of experience maintaining electronic and physical record compliance with a product lifecycle management tool.
Ability to work autonomously or in a team environment.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Competent in writing and formatting of procedures and documents.
Competent in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
Understanding of office procedures, including filing, record management and archiving documentation.
Experience with SAP ERP and knowledge of Engineering Change Request (ECR) process is a plus
Ability to travel up to 10% if needed.
Our Environment
Up to 10% travel may be required. Employees must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.
The employee is responsible for owning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.
