What we need We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team. Your job will be to oversee upkeep and repairs to the building infrastructure and related support systems. This role will also assist in the safe operation, daily monitoring, and maintenance of all building related infrastructure.
What we do The Facilities team is part of the Human Resources organization and is responsible for managing and maintaining the physical infrastructure and operational needs of the company's facilities, including building maintenance, vendor management, security, health & safety compliance, and employee services.
What you'll do
- Responsible for daily communication of all pertinent information regarding building infrastructure, systems operation and maintenance to departmental management and maintenance teams.
- Complete weekly preventative maintenance according to established schedules; inspections and maintenance tasks on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and safely.
- Fully engage with building occupants, property managers, and external contractors to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure effective communication regarding monitoring, troubleshooting, repair inquiries.
- Perform tasks to a high-quality standard in assigned trades, including but not limited to: carpeting, painting, drywall repair, basic plumbing and general facility maintenance.
- Responsible for daily cleanup of maintenance areas, rooms, and all project areas.
- Assist sub-contractors and manager/supervisor with Building, HVAC, and Electrical systems including monitoring, troubleshooting, repairs, and tracking.
- Keeping detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections for compliance and future reference.
- Up to 10% travel may be required.
What you'll need
- Two years minimum experience in Building or Electrical Maintenance.
- Two years minimum experience in General Maintenance.
- Two years minimum experience interacting with all customer levels, including management and providing high level customer service.
- Two years minimum experience analyzing and interpreting technical procedures, schematics, blueprints and work orders.
- Ability to operate required equipment as necessary to complete tasks.
- Valid Driver's license and personal transportation. May be required to drive a box truck (i.e., to/from ITC/HQ; to/from suppliers e.g., Home Depot).
- Medical clearance card for authorizing you as capable of driving a box truck.
Our Environment
- There will be steep stairs to climb into the structure. You may be required to routinely walk up and down stairs to navigate the automation structure.
- Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.
- Frequent ability to safely and efficiently lift items weighing up to 50lbs and move items weighing up to 80lbs.
- Stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours and is frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms
- The employee is routinely required to work at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches. Where you may need to be able to stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be capable of occasional and/or continuous feeling, seeing, hearing, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, balancing, gripping, climbing, crawling, sitting, handling objects, and repetitive movement using both hands and feet. Must comply with all safety requirements and protocols, including without limitation Lock out tag out safety protocols and fall protection safety protocols
