Job DescriptionThe purpose of this job is to manage, maintain, and create all plant programmable control systems, assist in the analysis of current programs, and manage all plant computer systems.
Responsibilities:
1. Troubleshoot all current PLC and computer related processes.
2. Create all new programs, process controls, and computer related systems.
3. Assist the maintenance department in preventative maintenance duties with specific reference to computer processes.
4. Assist the engineering department in the development of new processes.
5. Assist the engineering department in cost reduction projects involving automation.
6. Manage and maintain current computer network system.
7. Document clearly for historical use.
8. Work with Corporate IT on any upgrades or system modifications.
9. Order and specify all hardware and software for all plant systems.
10. Manage plant security relative to computer systems (email, systems access, passwords, etc.).
11. Assist the electrical department in trouble shooting or project implementation.
12. Perform duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor, Plant Superintendent, or Plant Manager.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's Degree in engineering, information technology; or equivalent experience
Related Experience: 3-5 years of experience is preferred.

Additional Information
Physical: This position will require employees to walk up stairs and be able to be in the field standing for long periods of time (2 to 4 hours at a time).
