Job Summary:
Leads and trains a multi-application Epic and third-party application team. Takes initiative as a broad subject matter expert for service line Epic functionality and integrated third-party applications to guide decision-making. Presents best practices to the business and works closely with stakeholders to align the technical systems and enhancements with system goals to deliver business results. Leads research on possible solutions and makes recommendations based on findings. Develops detailed analysis for proposals that outline feasibility, scalability and costs. Suggests, designs, tests, implements, and evaluates solutions.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consults on the current state of an IT system and provides data-driven advice on how to expand or refine its operations to meet company needs.
- Researches business needs and translates into the technical enhancements necessary for configuration, business process changes and development.
- Leads the team in proactively identifying and solving the most complex problems; uses ground-breaking and innovative methods to think beyond existing solutions which impact business direction and drive business performance.
- Leads highly visible multidisciplinary project teams, acts as project manager for initiatives.
- Leads the team by promoting liaising between teams and in developing relationships with internal and external stakeholders to strategically influence project scope, system goals, and requirements
- Leads the team in implementing and stabilizing core business applications, identifying application infrastructure needs, associated hardware, endpoints, and databases.
- Trains the team and helps guide the implementation of new systems and procedures, solving for complicated business problems and issues.
- Oversees the coding of multiple Epic applications, including the build of application tables, panels and reports to insure quality delivery to business partners.
- Coaches the team to troubleshoot and resolve complex integrated issues crossing applications and works with vendors to solve issues.
- Acts as an expert resource for the development and implementation of EPIC applications.
- Collects data, observe workflows and monitors system activity to identify vulnerabilities or areas of improvement. Communicates their findings to company leaders to assist in identification of needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent years of experience and education
EXPERIENCE
- Five years' relevant experience with Epic functionality, design, configuration, and technical environment concepts/functions. Experience in Epic builds required.
CERTIFICATION
- Epic certified in one or more modules
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Rare climbing.
