As the Senior Director of Finance for the Sonic Anatomic Pathology Division at Sonic Healthcare USA, you will have the crucial role of overseeing all Finance Department staff, activities, and output. Your responsibilities will include leading financial planning activities, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing financial processes to support the division's strategic objectives.In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and directing the Finance Department, ensuring the accurate dissemination of financial reports, maintenance of general ledger, financial audits, treasury reporting, and internal control activities.Duties & Responsibilities:
- Direct all statistical and pro forma analysis.
- Formulate financial planning activities, including annual operating budget preparation.
- Oversee accounts payable and cash management functions, ensuring efficient systems, processes, and controls.
- Analyze expenditures, develop financing strategies, and ensure appropriate income/cash flow.
- Guide financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
- Protect assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
- Provide status of the company's financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting key financial data.
- Coordinate the organization's Insurance and Risk Management program.
- Manage ongoing banking relationships for maximum efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements by monitoring legislation and filing financial reports.
- Manage budget, control expenses, and review/approve payroll activity.
- Recruit, train, develop, and appraise staff effectively.
- Coordinate system and technology updates.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; Master's degree in Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of accounting managerial experience.
- Experience with an ERP system.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation preferred.
