Sodexo's Campus Segment is seeking a General Manager/ Chef Managerat Darling Marine Center, Walpole, Maine. The Darling Marine Center is located right on the ocean in beautiful Walpole, Maine.  Feeding 40 - 50 Residential Students each Fall Semester and Catering 30 - 40 events per year, this position is perfect for a manager looking to own their business.  This position is a working manager position and will be one of the four employees preparing food daily within the unit.  In the off season, there will be planning as well as other functions at the unit to prepare for the more busy season.   

The ideal candidate for this position needs to be self driven, dependable, have a great culinary background and leadership skills.

The ideal candidate:

•  has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills, as well as previous supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively;
• has culinary production experience and a strong background in safety and sanitation compliance;
• has the ability to manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service;
• can demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and exhibit flexibility to take on additional responsibilities as needed; and
• can demonstrate working knowledge of Sodexo Food Management Systems (FMS) and Market Connections (MSC), and is proficient in computer skills and report management experience.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 2 years         

Basic Functional Experience  - 2 years
