JOB SUMMARY:
A seasonal position with the responsibility of creating looks and styles for different projects throughout the season from theatrical shows, fantasy characters, and holiday themes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Involved in daily Wardrobe Department operation. The Wardrobe operation provides distribution, cleaning, and repair of all characters and shows-related costumes. The department includes the operation of the laundry, costume shop, and sewing room.
- Pattern garments and oversee construction/repair to character and show related costumes.
- Inventory management and organization of characters and show costumes.
- Collaborate with other Entertainment supervisors on new projects and goals.
- Evaluate employee performance and correct any behavior.
- Sanitize and maintain equipment, supplies, and cleanliness of workstations and areas.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Be at least 21 years of age or older with a valid Georgia Driver’s License.
- Knowledge of sewing machinery including sewing and cutting equipment, and laundry equipment
- Sewing-related problem-solving skills
- At least 3 years experience in garment production work construction
- Must be able to modify show costume designs required, however ability to draw original costume designs is preferred
- Outstanding leadership, team building, and motivational skills. High standards and expectations.
- Good instincts, analytical skills, and a hands-on management style.
- A positive, action-oriented focus in the areas of Guest service, employee relations, and safety. A willingness to support park-wide initiatives.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and Holidays.
- React well in stressful and emergency situations.
- Strong visualization and organizational skills.
- Time-management skills to effectively handle multiple projects at once.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Communicate effectively in the English language, including the ability to read, speak, and understand the English language.
- Maintain energy and enthusiasm while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Be safety conscious, while also outgoing with a friendly demeanor.
- Computer proficiency with an emphasis on Microsoft Office Products.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to perform various physical activities, such as lifting and carrying items
- Continued standing and bending.
- Eye/hand coordination, near vision, hearing, and speech. Manual dexterity, gross motor skills, arm stamina, and color definition.
- Stand/walk for up to 6 hours at a time and as many as 14 hours a day; walk over 3 miles per day over various surfaces.
