Technical Writer

We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer to join our team and provide technical editor and document custodial duties in support of system engineering of a tactical weapons system.
This position will provide support to a system engineering team in the development, editing, maintenance, and custodial duties of engineering documents. This includes a large HCI design specification document, CONEMPs, Interface Responsibility Status Report (IRSR), and other technical documents. Duties include using Microsoft Office suite applications and Adobe to incorporate track changes (text and images) into the master HCI design specification document, coordinating with stakeholders to receive IRSR updates and incorporating the updates into the IRSR, ensuring accuracy and consistency in documents to include formatting, grammar, punctuation, spelling, and acronyms, verifying document accuracy, and recording/tracking revisions to technical documents.The position requires working at a SimVentions office 3 days a week with the ability to telework 2 days a week.

Clearance: A Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.
Travel: Travel to NSWCD at Dahlgren Naval Base, as needed

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.
The projected annual compensation range for this position is $72,000-$85,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
