As a part of Sherwin-Williams’ Performance Coatings Group and Strategic Pricing team, this position will partner with the General Industrial Division to develop, drive and monitor their global pricing strategy. This individual will work with Group and Division Financial, Marketing and Sales personnel around the world to establish a proactive and planful approach to drive business strategy using pricing as a lever.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Key responsibilities to include:
- Lead the market-based pricing solution by driving competencies and strategies with Finance and Marketing partners to deliver results.
- Analyze results and present findings and opportunities to leadership.
- Drive adoption and adherence to the businesses market-based pricing solution.
- Lead the integration of pricing practices for the Division.
- Continue to develop and implement, both tactical and strategic pricing competencies.
- Support and train field level personnel on pricing initiatives and policies.
- Utilize data modeling to support price increase execution and reporting.
- Maintain working knowledge of facility/store operations and its effect on pricing.
- Identify opportunities to drive consistency among regions and lead system enhancement projects.
- Partner with the Pricing Operations team in the continual development of all pricing applications/systems.
This position will report to the Director of Pricing and will have dotted line management of one Pricing Analyst.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or related field
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a business or related field
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- 5-7 years of related experience
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Must be a team player who can identify opportunities and work across functional areas to provide solutions and recommendations for improvement.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-cultural environment and have the confidence to lead and influence cross organizationally
- Proven ability to build relationships.
Preferred:
- Management of direct report(s).
- Experience in painting or coating industry, especially within Business Units format.
- Experience with process or project management, preferably with certifications.
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- Advanced Microsoft Office/365 skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Data understanding, modeling, and analysis
Preferred:
- Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) pricing modules (SAP, Oracle, etc.).
- Experience with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and CPQ (Configure Price Quote) software (Salesforce.com, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, etc.).
- Experience with BI (Business Intelligence) software (Tableau, MicroStrategy, Qlik, Power BI, Business Objects, etc.)
- Experience with pricing optimization software (Zilliant, Pricefx, Vendavo, PROS, etc.).
- Experience with rebate optimization software (Vistex, Enable, etc.)
- Experience with AI (Artificial Intelligence) or ML (Machine Learning).
- Intermediate level of statistical knowledge.
