The Manager of Global Process Excellence is responsible for leading the efforts to drive strategic improvements in Sherwin Business Services. The manager will interact with all levels of Sherwin-Williams Business Services, different business units, financial controllers, and executive management. The manager will lead cross-functional projects to increase efficiency and effectiveness, focusing on standardization, harmonization, streamlining, optimization, and control analysis of processes. Oversee design and deployment of process improvement activities and tools. Develop programs to build skills and expertise in operational excellence, including evaluating and initiating training programs, that bring a consistent way of working across the team, ensuring collaboration to improve performance by removing waste and reducing process variations and risk. Energize teams and stakeholders, collect data, conduct diagnostic analysis, identify opportunities that positively impact quality, cost, delivery excellence, and customer satisfaction, and present action plan to management. Assist SBS leadership with implementation or transition of processes on a global scale.

- CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Create Synergies across the SBS department and systems:
- Collaborate and engage cross functional members at all levels of the organization and execute initiatives that will drive quantifiable savings.
- Promote transactional lean with the goal of creating synergies, lowering costs and improving processes.
- Identify and implement changes to enhance reporting, streamline reconciliations and adjust processes to gain efficiencies across the department.
- Seek opportunities for synergy, improvement, simplification and automation of existing processes and reporting.
- Design and build technical processes to address business issues
- Develop, use existing, or research new tools that efficiently promotes changes in existing Global SBS processes
- Accurately assess information requests and business situations to determine methods and procedures of addressing complex business needs while understanding the underlying accounting and financial impacts.
- Drive continuous improvement across all Global SBS departments
Understand, enhance, and promote internal controls:
- Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables comprehensive policies and processes
- Understand the current control environment and promote standard controls globally
- Identify and recommend opportunities to strengthen policies, processes, and procedures
Assist with organizational changes and with future projects:
- Determine appropriate course of action for various ongoing and future projects including system implementations, system enhancements/upgrades and control compliance related to the respective teams
- Act as subject matter expert during acquisitions, global expansion, cross functional department activities and system enhancements/upgrades
- Recruit, train, develop and supervise team members
- Coordinates and managed financial transition activities to achieve goals
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Information Systems
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Significant experience in accounting, Sherwin Business Services, or information systems
- Strong aptitude with ERP systems, with the ability to promote standard functionality
- Knowledge of current trends and industry best practices
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong customer service orientation
- 5+ years’ experience in process improvement experiences and automation
- Process improvement knowledge
Preferred:
- Experience with procure to pay or other Sherwin Business Services functions
- 5+ years in Finance areas
- Experience leading and managing transition projects
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform consistently, multi-tasking as necessary, and demonstrating good communication and organizational skills.
- Must have an aptitude for understanding technical advancements and implementing new systems and enhancements.
- Ability to interact with all levels of management using strong written and verbal communications.
- Must demonstrate an aptitude for grasping new technologies and adapting them to S-W business rules
- Must be able to make logical conclusions based on financial data.
