CORE RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASK:
- Integrate appropriate controls into daily operations within the Organization to prevent risk and ensure compliance.
- Record & analyze incident records and make recommendations regarding corrective actions, emphasizing pro-active intervention.
- Utilize data to identify, evaluate, develop appropriate solutions to control or eliminate risk exposures.
- Identify, interpret, and implement federal, state, and local safety, health, and environmental regulations and/or standards that pertain to the organization's operations.
- Conduct and document employees training in all EH&S programs as needed.
- Promote safe actions among all business associates within the organization by maintaining visible and active presence in the operation.
- Perform inspections of workplace, risk assessments, incident investigations, change management, and compliance tasks.
- Participation towards completion of other related tasks and duties as directed or needed.
- Fosters positive safety culture through professional and proactive interactions with employees.
FORMAL EDUCATION:
Required:
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental or Health & Safety
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Must have at least 3 years of previous safety experience.
Preferred:
- 5 years of previous safety experience
- EHS experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations or VPP programs.
- Basic knowledge of life critical procedures, industrial lift operations, respirators, and other major safety standards.
- Previous experience using continuous improvement tools such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5-S or Six Sigma.
- Working experience of Process Safety Management (PSM) is preferred.
TECHNICAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
- Microsoft Office Software including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.
Preferred:
- Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc.
