Job Summary:
In addition to performing tasks associated with moving goods from one place to another. As the Clamp Lift Operator/Material Handler, you will need to be extremely careful not to damage the goods and position them accurately.
Schedule:
Modified Shifts: 34.5/46 hoursBack Half Nights (BHN)
- BHN: 8pm – 8am: Wednesday night, Thursday night, Friday night and e/o Saturday night
- Overtime pay is time and a half after working 40 hours within the work week. Shift premium: $1.00 for working 2nd shift, 3rd shift and overnight shifts.
Essentials Duties:
- Move paper, printing materials and other products to and from the Warehouse to the Press Line or the Bindery Department.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Inspect and maintain equipment daily.
- Use a handheld bar code scanner.
- Use of a Slitter Machine.
- Track inventory and complete warehouse tally sheets indicating material weight, size and number of skids.
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be dependable, reliable, and responsible in fulfilling obligations.
- Must work well with others.
- Must be flexible and open to change when needed.
- Must have the ability to follow instructions.
- Must be proven self-starter to complete projects/work orders.
- The ability to work up to 10-to-12-hour shifts.
- The ability to lift 50 lbs.
- High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Base knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing while setting up and operating equipment
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
