Quality Carriers, Inc. (QC), headquartered in Tampa, FL, is North America's largest bulk liquid chemical carrier. Through a network of more than 100 terminals and facilities, we transport a broad range of chemical products and provide our customers with value-added transportation services.
We are looking for a Regional Maintenance Manager to join our Maintenance Team. This role will report directly to the Director of Asset Management. This is a remote position with 100% travel. Essential Functions:
- Work with terminals and shops to maintain 100% compliance within various federal/provincial regulations and company policies
- Conduct mechanic training as required by company policy and regulatory agencies
- Inspect company equipment to ensure compliance and inspect other fleets for assessing the material condition
- Inspect and approve outside vendors for quality and compliance with company procedures
- Work with terminals, shops, and outside vendors to complete all maintenance in a timely, cost-effective manner
- Provide purchase orders within authorization limits
Skill/Knowledge Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of management experience managing a regional fleet or similar capacity
- Two years DOT HM-183/B620 training or experience
- Knowledge of DOT requirements
- Proven track record managing multiple locations and employees
- Good communication skills and ability to deal with people
- Solid experience with employee relations, safety rules, and procedures and government regulations
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; experience with TMT desirable
- Strong knowledge of tractors and bulk liquid/dry trailers preferred
