Position Summary
Responsible for operating a forklift. This position will also involve inventory management as well as shipping and receiving finished goods and materials.
Essential Duties and Tasks

- Employee is certified on all powered industrial trucks.
- Employee Operates Industrial trucks.
- Loads and unloads trucks with raw materials and finished goods.
- Inspects trailers and fills out trailer inspections.
- Verify and sign off on all inbound and outbound shipping and receiving documents.
- Verifies product is in good shipping condition and not damaged.
- Pulls different material for production and shipping.
- Keep machines stocked.
- Stages and Bills product.
- Understands inventory system and follows FIFO.
- Maintain equipment. Inspects and cleans forklift.
- Completes inspection and cleaning checklists.
- Reports out any issues with forklift to supervisor and/or maintenance.
- Take pictures of all outbound loads.
- Scans and sends billing documents to accounting.
- Manages inventory
- Any other tasks assigned by supervision or management.

Qualifications, Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Associates degree from an accredited College or trade school preferred
- Two to three years’ experience working within a manufacturing environment
- Able to work Overnights 7pm - 7am / 12hr rotating schedule
- Must complete Safety Orientation, Departmental Safety Training and OSHA Standards Training
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be certified on all industrial trucks.
- Good time management skills.
- Reports to work on time and is dependable.
- Follows instructions and requests from supervisor and management.
- Seeks out information on orders and job duties when in doubt.
- Communicates well with other forklift operators at shift change.
- Stays in work area, unless receives permission from supervisor.
- Keeps aisles free from obstructions or any kind.
- Completes Safety Orientation, Departmental Safety Training, and OSHA Standards Training.
- Complies with departmental and job safety practices, including wearing protective equipment and monitoring placement of machine guards.
- Follows all GMP, AIB regulations
- Performs all safety checks on the Industrial Truck and properly documents results.
- Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals, simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to effectively present information and answer questions in one-on-one or small group situations to management, customers, vendors, or employees
- Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
