Our client, a custom equipment manufacturer is seeking a Field Service Technician/Engineer to join their team. As a Field Service Technician, you will provide maintenance, modifications, installations, and technical support to the users of the equipment supplied by the client. The ideal candidate would be considered a "Road Warrior"/open to 65% travel, diagnostic testing experience, and desire to be part of a fast paced, results driven culture!

Job Title: Field Service Technician

Location: 1-95 Corridor and Chicagoland 

Pay Range: $27 - 35/hr. (depends on experience level)

What’s the Job?

• Perform Preventative and Corrective Maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair standard and special purpose equipment and systems’ components.
• Install products.
• Perform factory acceptance and site acceptance tests.
• Develop and maintenance effective communication to customers.
• Remain professional, be courteous, and utilize customer protocols. 

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor Degree in General Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent work-related experience.
• Valid Drivers License with a good driving record.
• Using diagnostic test equipment: volt-ohm meters, amp probes, precision temperature, and pressure calibration.
• Ability to read P&ID and electrical/pneumatic schematic.
• Strong organization and critical thinking skills.
• General knowledge of the principals and methods of sterilization, stream systems, sterilizers, and decontamination.
• Ability to solve complex mechanical and system problems.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient in Windows, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and AutoCAD; or similar programs.
