Our client, a pharmaceutical company, is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and will be an excellent team player which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Industrial Maintenance Technician Location: Maxton, NC Pay Range: $20 What’s the Job?
- Performs carious periodic safety inspections such as fire extinguishers, fire sprinkler valves, fire doors, eye wash stations and similar devices.
- Performs periodic inspections and lubrication of plant equipment.
- Performs mechanical repairs to equipment.
- Troubleshoots machinery failures.
- Performs calibration activities on site equipment per equipment specifications using NIST standards. Updates all equipment calibration stickers.
- Reports all Out of Tolerance calibrations to equipment owners and to the site management.
- Track calibration is scheduled to ensure calibrations are completed on time to prevent equipment down time or delay manufacturing.
- Ensures that all calibration standards are calibrated.
- Will be required to go in the facility during off hours to investigate and reset alarms as needed.
- Perform ground maintenance work as required.
What’s Needed?
- High School Diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associates degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of proven Maintenance Tech experience.
- 5+ years with general Maintenance procedures and techniques, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and other mechanical systems.
- 3+ years of experience in Calibrations.
- Prefer experience in repair work in one or more fields of welding, pipefitting, carpentry, and masonry work.
- Prefer experience installing plant equipment, performing equipment and instrument calibrations, and maintaining a Preventative Maintenance System.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
- Good oral and written communication skills, basic math skills, and report writing skills.
- Ability to operate office equipment, including computers and supporting word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
- Experience working with CMMS software.
