EHS Manager $80-$90K Direct Hire near Portville, NY Manpower is assisting a great company near Portville, NY is hiring an EHS Manager. This is a direct hire opportunity. The right person for this role should have great communication and collaboration skills and bring a positive attitude. Having a background in construction and current OSHA certifications are strongly preferred. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Design, develop, and enforce EHS programs and policies in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Regularly update EHS policies to reflect changes in regulations and industry best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments and identify potential hazards within the steel fabrication environment.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to mitigate identified risks.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and maintain required EHS documentation and records.
- Develop and deliver safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientation, ongoing safety training, and emergency response.
- Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship among all employees.
- Lead investigations of accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures.
- Maintain records of incidents and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with Maintenance Personnel on waste management, pollution control, and resource conservation programs.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
- Manage hazardous materials and ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Coordinate emergency drills and training exercises to ensure preparedness.
- Work closely with all departments to integrate EHS considerations into operational decisions and processes.
