Description
The Program Security Officer (PSO) will provide comprehensive security support to a dynamic, fast paced USG organization. The PSO must possess and have successfully demonstrated technical security competence, excellent oral and written communication skills, problem solving skills, analytical skills, and the interpersonal skills necessary to determine and implement the proper and effective security policy and procedures for the protection of classified efforts.
The duties of a PSO include, but are not limited to: Using knowledge of the various security disciplines such as Physical Security, Personnel Security, Information System Security and Industrial Security to determine, apply, and monitor appropriate security requirements for assigned programs, Support the creation, processing, coordination, and approval of Program Security documents and entering such information into applicable databases, Plan, coordinate, and manage security support for classified activities, Assist in the development, review, coordination, and execution of a wide range of Program Security documentation, Actively support Program Security Reviews at performer locations and the Self-Inspection Programs, Perform OPSEC analysis and provide other OPSEC support
In addition, the position will provide "day-to-day" multi-discipline analysis for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Duties may include: Providing day-to-day security support that includes continuous assessment of procedures to identify shortfalls and provide appropriate recommendations for revising and improving security policies, procedures, and systems. Assist in providing contractor and subordinate facility assistance and oversight. Brief all levels of personnel on a variety of security related topics. Monitor, report and track all corrective actions resulting from compliance reviews. Ensure timely notification of pertinent security matters to program technical and management staff
Located in the McLean VA.
Bachelor's degree and approximately 8+ years related experience are required. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Must possess a current/active Top Secret Clearance with SCI and Polygraph required - candidates who do not currently possess this level of clearance will not be considered. Willingness to travel within the organizational geographic Area of Responsibility (AOR).
Pay Range:Pay Range $78,000.00 - $141,000.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
