The GxNEXT Program which is part of the Leidos National Security Sector (NSS) is looking for a talented Lead Test Engineer to support our customer’s mission by leading the definition, conduct, and execution of thorough functional and regression testing and verification and validation of Enterprise Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) capabilities and services. You will be working on our site in Chantilly, VA.

As the Lead Test Engineer, you will:
Conduct functional and regression testing for new and enhanced capabilities and fixes for defects found in the software baseline
Lead a team of software and user interface testers
Define and implement modernized test approaches in concert with program leadership
Provide sign off of development user stories in the Integration environment
Analyze and research Development Epics and User Stories for test scenarios and test procedure updates
Update and maintain SoapUI projects which are used for SOAP and REST API testing
Test Portal capabilities using Cucumber/Selenium automated testing scripts
Design, prototype, and implement Cucumber/Selenium scripts which are used for testing
Create, update, and review detailed manual test procedures for conduct of factory acceptance, independent verification and validation (IV&V), and regression testing and are delivered to the customer as a contract data requirements list (CDRL) item
Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT) and Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V), executing and demonstrating test procedures in front of Customer witnesses
Assist developer and deployment teams with troubleshooting and analyzing issues as they arise
Work with developers to identify and resolve discrepancies found during testing
Maintain close collaboration with System Engineers to verify system functionality against requirements
Update and review the Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM)
Maintain Test Team’s knowledge sharing dashboard in Confluence including, but not limited to:
How to instructions
Troubleshooting information
Processes, Procedures, and Guidelines
Ensure testing scripts and projects are updated and maintained in the Test Git repository
Core Qualifications:
BS degree and 8-12 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Experience designing, prototyping, implementing and supporting automated test tools and frameworks
At least 3 years experience with automated testing tools and frameworks
Active CompTIA Security+ Certification
TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with agile development methodologies
Experience working with Linux
Experience with Atlassian tool suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket)
Experience leading/managing a team
Experience testing SOAP and REST APIs using SoapUI or a similar tool
Experience with test automation tool implementation such as Selenium and Cucumber
Experience with maintaining test automation scripts
Experience creating, updating, and reviewing step-by-step test procedures
Experience working with developers to identify and resolve discrepancies found during testing
Experience working in a team environment and working independently, self-motivated
Strong, effective, and professional communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

Pay Range:Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
