Your greatest work is ahead!The National Security Sector at Leidos is hiring for a Lead Test Engineer. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to help drive department-wide business reform for the customer by integrating transportation and financial processes at the transaction level to optimize financial management of the Transportation of Things that support the Department of Defense financial auditability requirements and closing identified auditability gaps. The customer is seeking a multifaceted solution consisting of Doctrine, Organization, Training, Material, Leadership and Education, Personnel, and Facilities and Policy changes as well as the implementation of a commercial-off-the-shelf Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution across the Joint Deployment and Distribution Enterprise (JDDE). This opportunity is contingent upon contract award.
What you'll be doing:
- Exam system requirements, concept of operations documents, acquisition plans, and system descriptions to create evaluation and test plans.
- Prepare for and carry out data collection and analysis, and then report on the status and results.
- Participate in the software development process to contribute to the test plan and assess the quality of software components.
- Identify and address software flaws, such as bugs, errors, failures, breakdowns, and risks, to ensure the effective performance of developed systems.
- Analyze the context of software systems and applying various testing types and levels (component, integration, system, and acceptance tests) across different software development models.
- Conduct static tests for detection, correction, and improvement, followed by the preparation of evaluation and incident reports.
- Collaborate with the team, influencing members in matters related to solution design, process, and quality approaches.
What does Leidos need from me'
- Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance is required. Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- 10 years relevant experience leading testing functions for large, complex systems.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms (or equivalent Freight Management Systems (FMS)/Transport Management Systems (TMS).
- Experience/familiarity with DoDI 5000.89, Test and Evaluation.
- Strong SAP S4/HANA expertise.
Favorable if you have:
- Relevant certifications in software testing, such as ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board).
- Experience with test management within Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar configuration control tool.
- Experience with automated testing solutions and methods.
