Leidos is looking for Deputy Project Manager to support our US Army Command, Control & Communications Tactical (C3T) Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) & Post Production Software Support (PPSS) program located in Lowton, OK. This position requires a candidate to hold an active DoD Secret Clearance.
In this role you will
Develop an organizational technical roadmap across multiple projects by engaging stakeholders;
work in an organization with decentralized decision making; and be abreast of what each team is focused on and ensure proper coordination between the teams.
Plan, organize, secure, and manage resources to bring about the successful completion of specific program goals and objectives
Ensure all programs run within scope, time, and budget constraints. You will have significant interface with task and functional leaders, subcontractors, and support personnel.
Basic Qualifications
BA/BS or equivalent experience and 5+ years or prior relevant experience or Master’s with 3+ years of prior relevant experience.
Two or more years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.
Active Secret security clearance.
Demonstrated ability in planning, coordinating, and directing the activities of administrative, program control, and technical personnel involved in providing services in fulfillment of the contract.
Have a thorough understanding and experience in the complete life-cycle of the software in tactical military systems.
Have knowledge and experience with Department of Defense (DOD)/Army plans, policies, standards, and methods aimed at the acquisition and support of software and computer resources for Army systems.
Experience in managing and controlling schedules and cost to provide on time, within budget, performance of all aspects of the contractual effort.
Experience in providing direction for operations and ensuring compliance with all management policies, plans, and procedures.
Ability to provide recommendations for resolution of technical problems.
The Deputy Program Manager must, at all times, be a role model to subordinate employees, be a workforce motivator, and be a provider of constructive criticism.
Preferred Qualifications
Approximately ten years of experience involved in management activities of large-scale technical projects
Knowledge and experience with Department of Defense (DOD)/Army plans, policies, and standards
Experience managing multiple on-going tasks/projects.
Experience contributing to software development on github or other open-source repositories and extensive background in both back-end and user-facing software components.
Experience participating in and helping to lead day-to-day activities of a scrum team or other Agile software development team.
Experience supporting life-cycle software development of Fires tactical military systems.
Experience supporting a multi-year development/production program.
Cost estimating and Budget management.
Organizational/IPT development.
Leading a large and diverse team including suppliers and subcontractors.
Disciplined metric-driven program management.
Proven experience managing to and meeting tight schedules.
Effective communication of information between various functional disciplines as well as strong briefing skill with Sr. Gov’t customers.
Proficient using Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint.
Strong understanding of hardware development, manufacturing, procurement, production, and integration
Proven leadership skills.
Proven history of working in a team environment, fostering communication, listening to teammate concerns and reconciling internal issues or differences.
Proven ability to solicit and process complex information and data to solve complex problems and make sound decisions.
Strong interpersonal skills with measured and articulate communication skills.
Analytical and strong organizational skills, with excellent verbal and written ability.

Pay Range:Pay Range $101,400.00 - $183,300.00The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
