The Leidos National Security Sector has an exciting opportunity in Washington, DC. The Lead Automation Engineer will be part of an elite team of IT professionals to helping maintain and secure the enterprise environment for an Intelligence Community (IC) customer.
Our focus is to help the organization technically transform is current services by leading edge technology insertions. To accomplish this, we are charges with development of new designs, its implementation, and operation of the new and or enhanced services. Over the life of the contract, we will drive continual service improvement by tech modernization, for our (LANs), wide area networks (WAN), unified communication (UC), Video telecommunication and Streaming services.
Primary Responsibilities
Providing guidance to small teams that integrate systems and automate common processes and procedures
Designing and implements integrations/orchestrations of environments using Ansible, Python, Terraform, Azure Cloud Automation, and other automation tools
Designing and integrating network and other monitoring tools with ServiceNow or other ITSM suites
Designing and developing end-to-end CI/CD and testing workflows to exercise system, integration, and pre-production validations
Developing and peer-review unit test automation code to verify functionality per requirements
Documenting and reviewing documentation of operational procedures
Providing technical support for existing automation routines, troubleshooting, and error correction
Recognizing, justifying, and making continuous improvement opportunities for automation
Influences others regarding system design, solutions, and procedures
Basic Qualifications
Requires a BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters and 6+ years of prior relevant experience. May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
Hold a DoD Approved 8570 Level IAT II Certification, Certified Tester Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer (CTAL-TAE)
Must be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
Preferred Qualifications
Experience or exposure supporting Intelligence Community programs
