The National Security Sector within Leidos is searching for a Sr Capture Support Manager to focus securing existing and winning new business opportunities across the Sector. The position will report to the Vice President of Capture Excellence for the Sector.
Candidate will be responsible for providing capture and proposal expertise including participation in proposal development, reviewing Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements, conducting analysis on RFP, collaborating with experts and team members to develop compliant, responsive, and compelling proposals and assessing strategy for responding to requirements. Additional requirements include performing tasks related to the Leidos Win Plan; preparing support artifacts, and writing management and technical responses. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for assessing and ensuring compelling, complete, and compliant proposal responses reflect win strategy elements and align to evaluation factors and criteria.
Primary Responsibilities
- Ensure win strategy, technical solution, win themes, discriminators, compliance, and clear understanding of the requirements are well-articulated and consistent throughout final proposal documents; remain current of modifications
- Reviews and/or writes technical, management, resume, and/or past performance sections.
- Lead and/or support proposals in multiple roles
- May serve as volume lead for multiple sections and provide direction and oversight to supporting writers.
- Writes clear, persuasive, and articulate proposal sections; translates complex ideas into easily understandable text.
- Interpret technical and management requirements of Federal Government solicitations (e.g., RFPs, RTEPs, RFIs)
- Support development of high quality, high impact artwork and graphics for proposals
- Collaborate with executives, management teams, functional units, BD personnel, stakeholders, partners, and subject matter experts to provide proposal leadership, support, and direction
- Maintain tight, proactive communication with proposal and business unit leadership to ensure all necessary resources and activities are available to achieve a successful proposal submission
- Works as part of a collaborative team to clearly articulate solution and strategy, approach to performing the work, experience, win themes, and discriminators.
- Applies communication and interviewing skills to gather needed information from internal and external personnel to support writing activities.
- Manage multiple tasks with sometimes rapid turnaround deadlines
- Support other business development professionals (e.g., editorial support, volume management, review participation) when necessary, as part of a team-first capture and proposal organization
- Ensure proposal compliance
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree with at least 15+ years of related experience or a master’s degree with 13+ years of experience, 6+ years’ writing experience, proposal management, volume lead or support.
- Understanding of, and experience with, the Federal procurement process and regulations
- Evidence of a successful track record of high quality, high scoring proposals
- Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work to meet deadlines
- Ability to develop and/or assist technical and capture personnel in developing compelling themes, discriminators, and messaging
- Ability to work well both in a team and independently
- Up-to-date knowledge of marketing, editing, graphic design, and other relevant proposal best practices
- Ability to create original content using interview and research techniques
- Demonstrated experience in proposal submissions covering all typical solicitation sections (e.g., Management, Technical, Staffing, Security, Cost Volume, etc.)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Fluency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and SharePoint
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting a wide variety of solicitation size, complexity, and submission windows
- Formal proposal training and/or relevant certifications (e.g., APMP, PMP)
- Ability to remain upbeat, positive, and constructive within a dynamic environment operating under high-pressure deadlines

Pay Range:Pay Range $144,300.00 - $260,850.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
