What you will do
- Perform HVAC Control systems programming, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance as it is related to mechanical, and low voltage controls components.
- Respond to demand requests and service calls using Johnson Controls various applications, configuration, and commissioning tools as well as a variety of hand tools including electrical testing meters and other electronic testing equipment.
- Provide front line technical and repair support through effective communications with Johnson Controls customers.
- Timely fault analysis, rectification of technical issues using available documentation such as shop drawings, As-builts, single-line diagram etc. and reporting outcomes to authorities.
- Provide system repair and or update recommendations and assist in proposing of recommendations to Johnson Controls customers.
- Service and maintain installed equipment on existing sites.
- Be well supported with our internal remote tech support and structured web-based training network.
How you will do it
- Loading Johnson Controls field and network level controller software.
- Performing troubleshooting and system diagnostics for all levels of system controllers as well as end devices (i.e. Sensors, actuators, switches etc.) while making full use of submittal packages and technical documentation for self-guidance.
- Keeping management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues.
- Calibrating systems using basic electronic test equipment.
- Completing administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) QFM, and on-site documentation.
- Documenting changes and providing information for as-built documentation.
- Executing company sponsored as well as personally initiated training to ensure the highest level of knowledge and capability are maintained to operate site(s) most effectively & efficiently.
- Engaging with customers & affiliates to fully understand their systems and needs.
- Communicating with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
- Abiding by JCI Policies and following all safety standards, attending required safety trainings & modules.
What we look for
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, sequence, applications, Building Performance & Energy Efficiency Solutions.
- Demonstrated technical aptitude in mechanical and electro-mechanical fields.
- Able to use hand, power tools and electrical testing equipment such as a multi meter.
- Solid knowledge base in use of personal computers & software.
- Skills in IT, network communication and PC hardware configuration.
- Minimum of 3 years college diploma / degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Technology.
- Strong verbal, listening and written communication skills.
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle with valid Level G Ontario Driver’s License.
- This is a full-time role and expect flexibility from the employee to be available when needed.
