This position will be based in Canberra ACT and you must be an Australian Citizen in order to work on government sites.
About the role:
- Install, service, and maintain fire monitoring equipment and associated systems.
- Adhere to specialist requirements as instructed.
- Provide service reports and photos documenting work performed.
- Understanding of Telco products.
- Communicate with customers upon arrival and before departure from work sites.
- Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs and existing systems thoroughly.
- Engage in continuous self-study to uphold technical proficiency in company and product lines.
- Notify Service Coordinator of any problems or changes encountered.
- Have knowledge of JCI and State Legislation requirements.
- Report Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) issues to appropriate individuals.
- Ensure 100% compliance with Johnson Controls Safety Health & Environment Management System (SHEMS).
- Be prepared for interstate travel, including overnight stays if necessary.
- Deliver Johnson Controls services to customers in accordance with service contracts or business directives.
- Provide expert-level guidance to customers regarding fire monitoring and equipment.
- Be available for overtime work and on-call duties as needed.
- Stay updated on technical aspects of the job and undergo training as required.
- Serve as a liaison between customers and Johnson Controls during fire monitoring tasks.
About you:
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in Fire Protection systems.
- Excellent written/report writing & verbal communications skills.
- Great customer service skills.
- Passion to drive front line safety identification and resolution.
- Electrical trade qualification and understanding of electrical drawings.
- Must have current Motor Vehicle Drivers licence.
- Holds Current Cabling licence.
- Resident in ACT or agreeable to relocate to the ACT.
- Working with Children Check.
- Current Police check.
- COVID Vaccine/ Flu Shots are requirements for Nursing homes hospitals.
- Working at heights certificate.
