What you will do
The Customer Business Director will be responsible for managing complex customer relationships, interacting with Project Partners, including in some cases, government agencies.
How you will do it
Working for a regional director you’ll be directly responsible for managing complex project partnership(s), employee and customer relationships at the University of Kansas. Where and when needed, you will be responsible for hiring and the management of JCI Customer Business Managers, Transition Managers and/or any other employees as approved to meet the business needs. You are expected to work with HR and legal teams on contractual and Union matters. You will also provide FM support to JCI Business Development Directors on future opportunities.
You will be responsible for the development of the Facility Management plan, and all related documentation to ensure compliance with all arenas of accountability while ensuring all safety considerations and operational excellence is met for your assigned facilities in 2021 and beyond. This will include Service Provider (JCI) input during construction to ensure that the key performance indicators and output requirements of the project agreement can be fully met during operations. You will have input and key responsibility for “Puts and Takes”, development of standard operational procedures, management of transition plans and development of contract deliverables in cooperation with the project partners. This will be achieved by working in cooperation with the customer's upper level management team O&M service subcontractors and site employees.
You will be responsible to ensure customer satisfaction while balancing safety, profitability, resourcing, and the codes and standards outlined in the various contracts are met. Working in cooperation with the customer's upper level management team and O&M service subcontractors, you’ll implement the applicable tactical strategy for managing overall account operations in accordance with approved operating guidelines and budget. You will serve as the main client level liaison for addressing operational, contractual, and financial issues.
What we look for
Required 8 years facility management or building operations experience. 5 years supervisory experience in management, budgeting, vendor management, operations and maintenance. Demonstrated leadership abilities and organizational skills. Demonstrate thorough knowledge in all of the following; contract management, energy management, CMMS, project management, life cycle planning. Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of a wide area of Facility Management/Operations & Maintenance Business, business systems and infrastructure Ability to work effectively in a teaming and matrix environment with multiple and changing tasks and priorities. Must have Project management skills and ability to ensure contractual obligations are met.
Must be proficient with windows computer software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project, and Access Ability to travel on an occasional basis (10%).
Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to deal with customers and others at all levels.
Preferred:
Experience and knowledge of the P3 Market, especially in the Operations phase of such projects.
