JOB SUMMARY:
Support Engineers provide technical assistance to customers remotely, ensuring the smooth operation of hardware. Their ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues from a distance, supports efficient customer support and satisfaction. Support Engineers play a crucial role in delivering timely and effective solutions to customers, reducing downtime, and maximizing system performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is an On-site position at the Austin, TX locationPerforms basic to moderately complex troubleshooting of server hardwareSupport end-users utilizing remote support toolsInteract with users to address technical issues, responding accurately and in a timely and professional mannerREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
2-4 years of server maintenance, migrations/upgrades, engineering test, debug, tech support, or relevantBasic to intermediate understanding of server hardware technologiesKnowledge of RAID, Motherboards, electronic componentsKnowledge of Ticketing Systems. Service Desk, ZenDesk PreferredDetect, diagnose, research solutions, and resolve computer software / hardware failuresPossess strong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentAble to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively to variety of audiencesAbility to maintain a professional and customer-focused demeanor while providing technical support to end-usersMust be team-oriented with the ability to collaborate with others to bring about a desired outcomeEDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
A.A.S or BS Degree is preferredIT Certifications (CompTIA, ITCA, ITIL) is a plus2- 4 years of relevant experience is requiredEquivalent education and work experience will be highly consideredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Individual will be required to use computer keyboards or other equipment for extended periods of time.Individuals may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision for reading and studying technical materials and use of computer monitor screens a great deal of the time.Specific physical abilities required by the job may include walking, carrying, and lifting up to 25 lbs., with some occasional lifting up to 50lbs
