Jabil is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician in Auburn Hills, MI. How will you make an impact? The Manufacturing Engineering Technician will support the Manufacturing team through the establishment, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes and supporting documentation. The qualified candidate will also assist the Process Engineers with the analysis of process metrics and issues, equipment selection and setup, manufacturing documentation, and the manufacturing process flow.
What will you do?
Create manufacturing documentation including, but not limited to, Visual Aids, Process Flows Deviations and Assembly Request Forms
Assist and support Process Engineers in the collection, preparation, and analysis of data.
Assist in designing and procuring tooling, including stencils, pallets, and fixtures.
Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to prevent manufacturing issues, improve quality yields, and improve processes.
Assist cross-functional team in conducting root cause analysis of manufacturing issues and support corrective action.
Conduct time studies of manufacturing processes and compile and summarize results for Process Engineers
Assist Process Engineer in process development (creates profiles, programs equipment, etc.).
Assist Process Engineer in the execution of equipment qualifications (IQ,OQ).
Coordinate and execute calibration and verification activity for assigned tooling and gauges.
Provide on-call support to resolve engineering-related issues arising beyond normal business hours.
Work safely at all times and comply with Environmental Health and Safety standards and work practices along with all other work rules.
How will you get here?
Education:
High School Required, however an Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred.
Experience:
At least 1-2 years of related engineering experience and or training; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Technical knowledge and experience is required
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
Tooling experience a plus
