Great work you’ll do here:
The Occupational Therapist (OT) will provide restorative therapy to the client while using special techniques or providing adaptive devices to assist the client in gaining independence in activities of living in accordance with the plan of care. The OT will also oversee the Occupational Therapy Assistants to assure appropriate implementation of the plan of care.
- Performs comprehensive subjective and objective admission and ongoing assessment of client functional status and activities of daily living
- Administers functional ability tests and competency as needed
- Evaluate adaptive equipment needs and obtain equipment for client
- Formulate individualized therapy plan of care that incorporates analysis of assessment data
- Provide therapy interventions aimed at achieving realistic outcomes within a specified period of time
- Modifies and updates the therapy plan of care to reflect progress toward outcomes
- Participates in the development, review and updating of the care plan
- Consistently demonstrates competency with occupational therapy skills according to personal and legal scope of practice
- Evaluate the home environment and make appropriate recommendations
- Instruct client, family and other team members in proper use of assistive equipment, prosthetic devices and adaptation devices
- Evaluates effectiveness of teaching and modifies accordingly
- Promotes client/family autonomy
- Relays significant changes in status to physician and other members of the team in a time period consistent with client need
- Maintains client records showing systematic assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation
- Documents client charts, records and clinical notes legibly and according to documentation guidelines and standards
- Supervises certified occupational therapy assistants according to organization policy and state regulations.
- Completes other assignments and duties as requested and assigned to accomplish the goals and objectives of the Company

- Capable of making challenging decisions and willing to take responsibility for them.
- Graduate of an occupational therapy curriculum accredited jointly by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation of the American Medical Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Registered with the National Registration Examination of the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Possess and maintains current CPR certification
- One (1) year experience as an Occupational Therapist
- Licensed driver with automobile that is in good working order and insured in accordance with the organization requirements.
