Summary

As the Senior Buyer you will be accountable for the assortment that drives our dispensary financial performance. This will include the creation of assortment architecture plans, forecasting sales, promotional planning, negotiating costs on 3^rd party products, strategically managing inventory levels, and working closely with procurement / operations to improve the full buying ecosystem. Some of the job responsibilities include: placing product orders, creating item levels sales plans, managing inventory to sales & profit targets, relationship management, and working closely with cross functional partners to establish new business opportunities.

This role will report into the revenue structure of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Build assortment architectures to define category, sku, pricing, and promotional strategy
• Align inventory needs with revenue and WOS targets
• Build relationships with wholesale accounts to ensure the best product mix and costing
•  Drive the balance between revenue growth & profitability
• Manage the full lifecycle of merchandising / buying: vendor meetings, cost negotiation, ordering process, build pricing & promotion strategy, manage promotional calendar, and build reporting to support a data driven business culture
• Understand competitors & identify opportunities for iAnthus to improve business performance
• Support cross functional initiatives that include the Sales & Operational Planning process
• Develop weekly business reviews focused on KPI’s and actions to improve the business
• Travel in market as necessary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or relevant combination of education and experience.
• Proficient with MS excel + cannabis systems preferred (Leaf Logix, Dutchie, METRC, etc)
• Strong presentation & communication skills: verbal, written, persuasive, and ability to pivot in conversations
• Established relationships with cannabis companies throughout the Northeast
