Heidelberg Materials seeks to future proof its cement operations with increased digitization and operational capability. The overarching goal is to centralize operations, and to achieve operational excellence. For this purpose, it is establishing the Heidelberg Materials Remote Optimization Center (HROC) in its headquarters in Irving, Texas.
To build up this exciting new team, we are looking for a dynamic HR Manager with experience supporting fast paced growth. As the Corporate HR Manager supporting the HROC organization, your initial focus will be driving the critical staffing of this new department, working closely with the Corporate HR Director, recruiting team and the SVP overseeing HROC.
What You’ll Get to Do
- Drive the multi-phased hiring process to staff HROC team ensuring critical staffing milestones are met.
- Provide sound counsel to employee and management on company policies and HR related inquiries.
- Partner with management and employees to enhance work relationships, drive engagement and retention.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and Company policies.
- Manage performance management process for HROC team.
- Assist with regional talent review to identify, develop and retain talent.
- Follow established safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Comply with regulatory requirements and company policies, reporting any safety incidents or near misses promptly. Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to enhance safety awareness.
Essential Experience and Skills
- Minimum 2 years’ experience with fast paced recruitment or direct support of high growth team.
- Minimum 3 years’ HR Generalist experience with broad HR experience in HR disciplines such as employee relations, talent management, compensation, etc.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions using independent judgement and take appropriate actions.
- Well organized and able to work autonomously.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team, including collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to build trust and lead change through influence.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- HR professional certification
- Previous experience building up new team or driving staffing in peak hiring season.
