Heidelberg Materials is seeking a qualified Senior Regional Credit Manager to join our team in Irving, Texas.
What you’ll get to do
- Lead a staff of Portfolio Managers and Representatives responsible for multiple countries.
- Responsible for managing the credit granting process, including the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic credit reviews of existing customer, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers.
- Secure and enforce statutory payment rights on a timely basis with respect to Builders Lien and Payment Bond law.
- Understand and provide solutions to balance the goal of maximizing sales while minimizing credit risk.
- Partner with customer-facing teams, building relationships both internally and with customers.
- Hire, lead, and mentor talent, enhance performance and ensure succession planning in high impact roles.
- Manage escalations from all partners promptly while upholding and maintaining the interests of the company.
- Work closely with the Legal and Lien Processing teams. Ensure that litigation files are communicated and transferred to the Litigation team on a timely basis to maximize potential recovery of doubtful accounts. Accumulate and retain all data and evidence necessary to allow successful prosecution.
- Minimize DSO and other KPI’s directly and indirectly by championing disciplined credit processes, procedures, and focus.
- Facilitate regional leadership AR discussions and reviews.
Essential Experience and Skills
- Experience leading successful collection teams across geographies and improving Working Capital

- Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification required.
- Minimum of 8 years' experience in Credit Management.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience at a supervisory or management level.

- Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, JDE, GetPAID software an asset.
- Direct industry experience an asset.
