Global Partners hiring for Trader- Residual Group jobs in Winchester, MA, US
The Trader position is a key member of the Residual Team, reporting to the Residual Trader. This role will manage the day-to-day bunker business & work with the Residual Trader to add value using existing and/or new assets/business lines. This position is in our Waltham, MA office.

“Gauges” of Responsibility
- Procure & coordinate supply for Global’s bunker system.
- Leverage existing relationships to add value where needed and leverage any new relationships.
- Manage paper exposure for bunker system & cargo trading.
- Evaluate trading opportunities & prepare analysis as necessary.
- Deliver administrative & management tasks/reports. You will run monthly management reports for the supply group. You will need to speak well and present on these reports to the supply group.
- Manage new business lines with back-office groups to ensure smooth paths through tax, contracts, credit and accounting.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Have a proven track record of profitability with the petroleum industry as an experienced Trader.
- Have a strong work ethic, along with very strong leadership skills, a desire to succeed and a willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
- Understand locational and structural arbitrage and how to take advantage of it in both paper and physical markets.
- Have a deep knowledge of freight markets, Jones Act & foreign flag.
- Have established trading contacts within the petroleum markets and a proven track record of trading both with principals and brokers.
- Exceptionally strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Outstanding ability to work collaboratively
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel a significant plus
- Industry experience in clean product supply, residual fuel, bunkers, trading, scheduling, product blending.
- Previous experience supplying a marketing/bunker system.
- Knowledge in refinery operations a significant plus.
- Strong industry knowledge and relationships with counterparts.
- Back office experience in credit, risk management and finance. Previous experience in Right Angle/Solarc a significant plus.
