Job Description:
The Inventory Management Specialist drives operational excellence through researching physical inventories, monitoring related programs, corrective actions, training and reports. This role supports creating a culture of 100% compliance with inventory policies, procedures and controls to company inventory loss and increase profit. This role is responsible for researching store level audits in partnership with the Asset Protection Team. Additionally, the Sr. Inventory Management Specialist supports the Inventory Management Specialist Team in troubleshooting corrective actions and answering related position questions for their assigned sites. The Inventory Management Specialist reports to the Director of Operational Effectiveness.

“Gauges” of Responsibility
- Monitor/maintains site level compliance with scheduled item level cycle counts and physical
- Inventories; includes all company owned and operated convenience stores selling merchandise
- Uses Store Assistant Host to track timing and document compliance of cycle counts
- Uses PDI Enterprise to track actual cycle counts vs expected
- Requests recounts by site when cycle count out of tolerance
- Produces tolerance and compliance tracking reports for dissemination to above site personnel
- Coaches store level personnel on proper techniques for counts as well as troubleshooting
- Assists in acquisitions of new sites
- Monitors physical inventory counts in all sites as assigned
- Monitors and provides reports on inventory levels by site
- Requests additional Territory Manager audits based on business needs
- Champions the development of new initiatives
- Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software including Excel (min intermediate user), Word, PowerPoint Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of PDI Enterprise, PDI Focal Point, Box, Smartsheet
- This position does require travel (40% regional travel) and is primarily a field-based position
Education Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, business administration or equivalent knowledge preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an auditing or site retail experience
