Our work depends on a Senior Biomedical Engineer joining our team to support Defense Health Agency Integrated Clinical Systems Project Management Office (ICS-PMO) activities at Fort Detrick.At GDIT, we put our people first. As a Senior Biomedical Engineer supporting the ICS-PMO, you will be trusted to work on the DHA and service-level Picture Archiving and Communications (PACS) systems, infrastructure, and workflows. In this role, a typical day will include:
- Collaborating with the ICS PMO and stakeholders to solve CHALLENGE
- Manage and maintain DHA or service-level Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) infrastructure, workflows, and systems, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to relevant standards.
- Oversee the implementation, management, and monitoring of new installations, upgrades, and system changes, ensuring compliance with specified criteria and deadlines.
- Conduct or supervise acceptance testing protocols within the government framework, ensuring new installations and upgrades meet defined specifications and performance standards.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards such as Health Level Seven International (HL7) and Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM).
- Oversee the integration and connectivity of these standards with the MHS GENESIS system.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in the industry, including emerging technologies and best practices, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Your success will be measured through your ability to support the customer goals and mission
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- Associates Degree
- Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET), Certified Biomedical Auditor, Certified Clinical Engineer (CCE), Certified Radiology Equipment Specialist (CRES) or related certifications
- 5-7 Years of relevant experience
- Technical skills
- DIN PACS, DICOM, IHE, VNA, HL7, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Fusion Dx, C-Arms, Nuclear Medecine, IR, portables, Mammography
- Security clearance level - NACI investigation and eligible for secret
- Preferred qualifications (optional)
- Preferred experience of 5-7 years within a DHA or service-
