JOB DESCRIPTIONGDIT / ARMA-Global is seeking a professional, energetic, and reliable Cloud Developer / Engineer to join our Cloud Development Team. Under general supervision, the individual will be responsible for the design, deployment, and sustainment of scalable, elastic, highly available, and fault-tolerant architectures within one or more unclassified and classified commercial cloud service providers. Additionally, the successful candidate will perform migration and sustainment of traditional on-premises systems and services into unclassified and classified commercial cloud environments, and will identify and implement solutions to support the Risk Management Framework (RMF) accreditation of environments to meet compliance requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of the Amazon Web Services ecosystem.
- Strong understanding of the Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows Server platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud APIs and interaction with the cloud service provider via the command line interface.
- Experience with one or more products from industry technology partners such as DataDog, New Relic, Trend Micro, Sophos, Splunk, evident.io, and others.
- Experience in automating tasks using scripted languages such as Bash, PowerShell, or Perl.
- Strong understanding and experience developing and using cloud formation scripts and playbooks with exposure to automation engines such as Puppet, Ansible, Chef, or Salt.
- Demonstrated experience applying Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) controls and configurations.
- Some degree of experience working with one or more common programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Java.
- Experience using issue tracking tools such as Jira, GitHub, or similar
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMWare, Docker, etc.)
- Self-motivating and have the ability to work independently, when necessary, but able to work with other on team projects.
- Confidence in configuring and maintaining a variety of various frameworks and applications such as Node.js, Ruby on Rails, .NET, Apache, Nginx, IIS, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL, or similar.
Certification Requirements
- DoD 8570 compliant for IAT Level II (minimum Sec+ CE)
- AWS Associate or Professional Certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a supporting discipline PLUS 3+ years of demonstrable cloud experience (e.g., AWS, MS Azure, etc.), or relevant training and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree PLUS 3+ years of demonstrable cloud experience (e.g., AWS, MS Azure, etc.)
- Must have a Secret Clearance to begin work and the ability to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance
