Director of Nursing

Franciscan Ministries – The Village at Victory Lakes a beautiful CCRC community located in the Northern suburb of Lindenhurst, Illinois is currently seeking an experienced Director of Nursing.  Qualified applicant will be responsible for the administration of the Nursing Department to assure a satisfactory, consistent level of quality resident care. The primary function of the Nursing Director is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the nursing department in accordance with the current applicable federal and state agency regulations.

Qualified applicants must possess the following:

• Graduate of accredited school of Nursing or Bachelor’s degree from accredited College or University.
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in nursing administration, either as Director or Assistant Director.
• Knowledge and understanding of Medicare/Medicaid, reimbursement issues and budget development.
• Manage, follow up and audit PCC, QAPI, reporting and providing oversight of nursing management team. 
• Current Illinois RN licensure and CPR Certified
• Experience with Joint Commission for Healthcare Accreditation (JCAHO) preparation
• Experience working with IDPH, survey and regulations

• • Able to work well under pressure, complete assignments accurately, work independently, and manage time effectively
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and develop nursing department with positive outcomes
  • Must possess strong management skills to work effectively as a team and ensure accountability of nursing department.
