Overview:
The Corporate Strategy Analyst plays a key role in First Citizens’ strategic planning process, including the development of a multi-year strategic plan, formulation and prioritization of strategies, and monitoring of the execution of strategic initiatives to achieve its goals. The Corporate Strategy Analyst will draft written deliverables (Word memos and PowerPoint presentations) for effective communication with senior internal stakeholders. The Corporate Strategy Analyst will develop workplans and coordinate with cross-functional teams to develop strategic initiatives. The Corporate Strategy Analyst will report to the Director of Strategy under the Chief Strategy Officer’s organization.

- Draft the enterprise Strategic Plan and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) reports to management and the Board and support the Strategic Planning and QBR processes
- Determination and communication of key messages within Corporate Strategy and senior cross-functional leaders across the Bank
- Partner with business units and functions (such as Operations, Technology, Finance, etc.) to develop strategic initiatives
- Work with Risk to identify and monitor the risk during the Strategic Planning process and ensure the Strategic Plan is executed in alignment with the Risk Appetite
- Develop and implement workplans to ensure successful execution of the strategic planning process
- Work with Finance to conduct financial analysis and incorporate them in the Strategic Plan
Familiarity with First Citizens’ structure, products, client base, and business model
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business-related majors and 4 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or other business strategy

High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, or other business strategy
Preferred Education: MBA or other advanced degree
Required qualifications:
- 1-3 years' experience coming from a top tier consulting firm or top tier strategy function
- Experience drafting Word memos and PowerPoint presentations with excellent written communication skills and the ability to write in a narrative style and in a concise manner
- Experience in strategic planning or risk management
- Strong problem-solving skills and comfort and facility with both quantitative and qualitative information
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly driven and self-motivated to succeed in a fast paced, evolving environment
- Ability to operate semi-autonomously within work-stream to drive deliverables
