Job DescriptionAs the Senior Director of Business Development focused on the Healthcare vertical at Epsilon, you will lead and drive new logo opportunities and sales efforts related to data products and services specifically designed to support organizations in the Healthcare market. You will strategize, collaborate, and execute sales plans, aiming to enhance the impact of data-driven solutions in the Healthcare space. The Senior Director of Business Development will be bolstered by a lead generation team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
New Logo Pursuit:
- Identify and lead the pursuit of targeted new logo business and contract expansion opportunities within target accounts.
- Create and cultivate resources while actively seeking and nurturing new business prospects.
- Identify and manage resources to develop proposals that position the full range of Epsilon's capabilities and data solutions to customers.
Strategic Leadership:
- Provide leadership, vision, and direction to the data sales team focusing on the Healthcare sector.
- Develop and communicate sales strategies that not only align with business goals within the Healthcare organizations.
Sales Planning and Execution:
- Develop comprehensive sales plans tailored to the Healthcare sector.
- Exceed sales targets, increase market share, and drive positive social impact, emphasizing diversity and inclusion.
- Responsible for generating up to $1,000,000 dollars in revenue annually, as assigned by the SVP of Business Development.
Collaboration and Alignment:
- Collaborate with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and analytics, to ensure the alignment of data offerings with the diverse requirements and goals of healthcare organizations.
Market Insights and Innovation:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market shifts within the Healthcare space.
- Identify new opportunities, innovations and emerging data-driven strategies that can benefit Healthcare organizations.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Utilize sales performance data to generate reports, analyze results, and present findings to senior management.
- Make data-driven recommendations for future strategies and developments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the Healthcare sector.
- Proven track record of successful sales leadership within the Healthcare sector.
- Understanding of data-driven technologies and analytics in the Healthcare sector.
- Ability to create and execute sales strategies aligned with the goals and mission of healthcare organizations.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Experience working collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as product development, marketing, analytics, and other relevant departments to align data offerings with the Healthcare sector.
- Knowledge of direct-to-consumer and direct-to-practitioner marketing programs.
- Strong business, communication and presentation skills and the ability to advocate for the value of data-driven solutions.
- Senior-level hunter that enjoys prospecting, cold calling and needs based selling.
- Demonstrate experience developing sales in the data, tech, digital or agency business, have a strong network of prior relationships and contacts (senior level), and show leadership skills in developing the right tools to get the job done.
- Manage and ensure a strong pipeline; make prospecting and networking a part of the regular routine to ensure that new prospects/opportunities are being added to the pipeline on a consistent basis.
- Strong knowledge of 3rd party data assets, data enrichment, data hygiene, data licenses along with the Ad-Tech industry: DMP, DSP, Data Onboarding, etc.
- Understanding of complex and lengthy sales cycles and how to create achievable milestones and deliver meticulous follow-up.
- Proven ability to negotiate and close deals.
- Must be strategic, flexible, tenacious, results oriented.
- Adept at dealing with a constantly changing environment.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, MBA a plus.
- Strong experience and passion to be a top seller as a full-time new logo hunter.
- Strong sales experience in Data, Programmatic / Digital Media, Marketing, or advertising related fields
- B2B business development experience, with a successful close rate
- Ability to travel as needed, for client meetings and industry events.
