Job DescriptionThe Financial Analyst is a highly visible position responsible for partnering with senior leadership across the Information Technology and Product Engineering organization. This role will focus on providing analysis and support regarding the operating and capital expenses for this group. This includes monthly expense reporting and variance analysis, forecasting, supporting annual budget process, and providing other ad-hoc support/analysis as required. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded performer who thrives in a fast paced and demanding environment, embraces a collaborative work style and possesses a clear customer and operations focus.
Relationships:
- Reports to: Sr. Director, FP&A
- Works closely with: Senior IT & Product leadership, Financial Reporting & Systems team, Epsilon Corporate Accounting, Product offering and G&A financial planning Directors and staff
Responsibilities:
- Partners with finance and accounting to provide financial support during monthly close and forecast process.
- Produce and maintain accurate expense and capital forecasts, ensuring all updates are communicated and loaded in accordance with corporate deadlines & requirements.
- Produce and maintain key financial & management reports, working with leadership to define and track key metrics and perform forecast/budget vs. actual analysis.
- Continuously track expense levels against operating and project plans. Partner with leadership to initiate actions where necessary.
- Support annual budgeting process by providing analysis on major cost drivers, partnering with leadership to gather information on key initiatives/investment needs, and ensuring proper load of plan to meet corporate deadlines & requirements.
- Administration of the c-form approval process, which coordinates finance and executive approval for capital and other IT related expenses.
- Support and participate in special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- BA required, BA in Accounting or Finance preferred
- Proven analytic ability; (academic achievement or through work history)
- Operational, Financial or Accounting education and/or experience required
- Financial systems experience: Advanced Excel required; Enterprise Planning tools (Hyperion or Prophix preferred), PowerPoint, and G/L ERP experience preferred
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Highly motivated and self-directed; exhibits thought leadership and strong critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Organized, diligent, and efficient
