Job DescriptionThe Data Scientist will be responsible for building predictive models and analytic solutions for business end users to help them make more efficient decisions in their day-to-day work. In this role, the successful candidate must have a demonstrated understanding of machine learning concepts, data engineering techniques, and presentation-ready reporting. This position requires good time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- History of delivering data science projects including data discovery, modeling, and application integration.
- Can facilitate converting business needs into technical projects.
- Experience in Python to program machine learning models.
- Experience using SQL to extract data from databases.
- Knowledge of deploying models and reports into cloud-based environments (Azure, AWS, etc.).
- Ability to visualize data and model results utilizing a modern BI tool(Tableau, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of machine learning modeling techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, and NLP) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to present results to teams of people, including executive stakeholders.
- Can work independently to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of working with various coding environments.
- Understanding of performance improvement techniques for extracting large datasets from SQL-based environments.
Education:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree (or equivalent training/relevant experience) in fields that include strong coverage of applied mathematics and statistics, computer science, engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience
