A healthcare facility in South Austin Texas, is in need of a Locum Medical Physicist to join its Radiation Oncology team and provide physics consultation to all Radiation Oncology personnel concerning aspects of patient care and treatment. clinic is equipped with two Varian iX linacs, Brainlab Exactrac, and an Elekta-HDR system. We run very busy programs, including Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT), Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), and Total Body Irradiation (TBI), along with therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals and TSET. The level of activity and the advanced nature of our treatment offerings necessitate a professional with significant experience and a robust understanding of modern radiation therapy technologies and treatment planning systems.

Treatment planning at our clinic is primarily performed using Eclipse and Elements software, which are integral to our workflow. The ROIS is Aria. Additionally, we are excited to announce that we will be upgrading our facility with the addition of a TrueBeam system to replace one of our IX units this year. This development will further enhance our treatment capabilities and the level of care we provide to our patients.

Requirements

MS in Medical Physics

ABR boarded

7 years of experience

Texas state license

Strong presentation skills, ability to communicate effectively to a group via phone/face to face

Strong technical aptitude

Strong analytical, math, physics skills, including data collection, problem-solving

The ability to resolve complex technical issues independently

Self-motivated, organized

Detail-oriented

Possess strong time management skills

Estimated Pay

We provide a competitive range of compensation for this position. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience and specific office location. It is possible that this position can be hired outside of the salary range based on experience.
