About the role and the team:
You would be joining the Recommendations Team focusing on eBay’s vision to become the best global marketplace through a tech-led reimagination of the company. As a Sr Product Manager on this team, you will bring your product, technical, and cross organizational alignment skills to develop a detailed, cohesive roadmap that will provide a seamless, consistent, personalized experience to all eBay shoppers. You will partner with various teams to drive a roadmap that reimagines onboarding as well as the behind the scenes model adaptations to learn about the user’s in session needs quickly and serve them the most relevant, contextual recommendations. You will work closely with all partners across the business within a fast moving, goal-oriented culture (business partners, customers, peer product managers, researchers, development teams, designers and other functions) to meet product goals and deliver a delightful customer experience! You will also own the vision and roadmap for myEbay - a key driver of personalized recommendations and revenue, and the user's home for managing their preferences, activity, and settings. This role has great potential - you will own two major areas that are positioned to be a growth driver for eBay!
What you will accomplish:
Drive the vision, strategies and roadmap for e2e personalization at eBay and myEbay in the context of broader organizational and company strategies and goals
Build and maintain a product roadmap by applying strong technical reasoning and user empathy to condense many different partner needs into coherent, scalable back-end capabilities
Identify and prioritize significant personalization opportunities by working closely across partner teams to deeply understand user needs and behaviors, as well with other functions such as research, marketing, design; conducting your own market and competitor research as needed
Drive cross-functional collaboration with technical leaders, partner teams, and collaborators to deliver successful products and/or features
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to represent complex business or technical concepts with executive leadership
Serve as a Personalization and ML/AI domain expert to external teams and align perspectives within team, with partners, and with Product leadership
What you will bring:
7+ years in product management with at least 3 years in personalization, deep ML, and ML platforms and signals. Generative AI understanding is a plus
Track record of delivering best-in-class user experiences
Experience and comfortable working with multiple internal partners and driving alignment, execution across various teams
Comfort operating in global environments across cultures, locations, and time zones
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York is expected in the range below.
$149,200 - $234,850Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
